Trevs having a little fun educating you. Its called a makers mark if that. A "hallmark" is a very specific type of mark that is well regulated. Hope you get an answer, but keep reading 'cause these people on this site will school you in everything metals.

Might need to flip the ring and re-shoot the mark from the other side paying careful attention to light sources and differing angles ( high vs. low). Small stamps can be tough to capture and equally tough to read if they don't blow up well. good Luck.
