Help identifying unknown maker's mark - Cat with number

I have a piece of jewelry that is marked with a cat seen from the back with the number '01' in the center of the cat, much like one would see on older Mexican jewelry. The cat, as you can see in the photo, is a stick figure or outline design. Though I am posting this in the American jewelry area, it is possible the piece is from outside of the USA... I just don't know.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
