Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Try taking another image of the marks, in daylight, with the flash turned off. Ensure you have your camera switched to the macro setting.

Trev.

Not Russian but Soviet made. The difference is more than enormous. Your ring is made in Juvelirnaja Fabrika Kiev (КЮ5)i.e. Jewellery Factory in Kiev (in the Soviet Republic of Ukraine) in 1965. My statement is based on what you write not your picture even if it seems to support my statement to some extent. Your picture is not too good you know.

You are welcome,

No it is not erased it is a badly struck Soviet control mark. Sorry I forgot to mention the material. It is most likely silver 875/1000 but if you can figure out the three figures in the right mark it could tell us more.

Mind my saying, but I don't quite catch what you are writing. Could you specify a bit. Anyway, this shovel shaped mark was used on small objects made of both gold and silver.

No problem,
Your ring is a small object. The only mark that could be punched on it is alternative 1. Forget all the other marks in your picture. I still believe it is silver. Could you at least try to figure out what three numbers you can spot in the mark?

Unfortunately, I do not see anything on the ring-all as in the picture looks :(
I'll just add that it was never cleaned or polished
and very shining
ps
I got home silver Comparing its ring does not look like silver

Sorry, but it is not a question of how it looks like but what marks it has. This case is a bit unclear but the most likely alternative is silver (99%). This is all I can do.

Hi, Qrt.S .

May be 1955. Silver 875. ( "Head of worker" ,kind of punch "lopatka")

@Dad
Yes could be 1955 if the shovel mark shows the mentioned "workers head" and not the "five star". The mark is unfortunately a bad struck, so? With the 99% I didn't mean the fineness but the likelihood that the ring being silver instead of white gold. The fineness could as well be 800 or 916 but again most likely 875.

It's strange because silver 875 has always been an attempt to put in the oval in Ukraine and Russia

On Ukrainian forum writted me an attempt is not necessarily pointed metal

please see -silwer only in oval in Ukraina and Russia

of course I'm talking about jewelry :)

No, it is not at all strange quite in order. Read what I wrote regarding small objects and their marks on 11.10. at 6.18 pm. Also look at the mark Dad shows on 12.10 at 10.07am. That is the most likely mark on your ring. If you can verify the mark having this worker's head and not a five star the year is 1955. If it has a five star it is 1965. Irrespective of what you hope, your ring is silver and not white gold.

I asked you twice and I ask you again, tell me the three figures in the mark. Anyway, if you now it is gold, why in the earth did you place your question here in the first place?????
