Got this from the US from an estate sale. It has a 925 mark on the boltring but also has this rhombus shape with a line going through the middle and was just wondering what it means and if its any hint to origin or date. Thank you.

I think a clearer image of the mark may be required.

Try taking the photo on a plain piece of white paper, in this way the macro feature will focus on the mark rather the the background.
