ID Hallmark and date on locket

Hi all after hours of trying to figure this one out i had almost given up when i found the forum
Hopefully someone here will be able to identify the date letter and maker of this piece, its made more difficult by it being part worn so ive sharpened it a bit to try and help

Well ive been really studying the date letters and im about 97% certain its a U FOR 1894, what do you think?
Ive not got far with the makers mark ive found reference to HW but not H.W as it appears to be
Just thought id update you with my progress

Yes, I would agreed with your 1894 attribution.
Would you say it was 'H.W' or 'H.W.' ?

Great i actually got it right, being rubbed i couldnt make out if it was a h, u or n as the bottom is not well joined up on the u used for this date
There could be a final dot at the end but its very close to the frame if it is
ive found H.W. = Henry Walker but the frame is oval not square
The only H W in a square i can find is Horace Woodward but no .s in it and i think it may be too early so im still non the wiser :(
