American Round Medallion .925 and 14kg gold

Hopefully the photos will attach ok...new to the forum, so this is my first post.
Can anyone identify the origin? It is round, with sharp edges, approx 3cm diameter medallion that has a large bale for a chunky chain.
Using a clock as an analogy...
it has two reverse ticks (one on top of the other) at the 12 o'clock position
at 1 o'clock is the number 14 (I guess this relates to the two gold bars that wrap from the front to rear of piece
at 6 o'clock it has .925stamped above the words "made in USA"
at 7 o'clock are the initials (I think) BES?
It has a mirror quality and is slightly convex.
It is a stunning piece.. I initially thought maybe Art deco style, but I'm no expert on silver and could not find the marks after a long search through this site.
