Hi Neil, (persistance pays!)

This one is difficult. The Incorporation of Goldsmiths of Edinburgh, who hold the Glasgow records, state that the entry that accompanies this mark is "almost illegible" but transcribes it as "F[?] Ducommum[?]". They state that the sponsors location is London.

There is a Swiss watchcasemaker, Ducommun-Roulet of Chaux-de-Fonds, although their mark is different (a lozenge with clipped corners at the narrowest points, containing D-Star-R) there may well be a connection with this firm.

Trev.
