ID assistance w/ Sterling JA 3 prong candle stick mark

Postby 2Andez » Sat Nov 20, 2010 3:13 am

Would like assistance ID'ing a maker mark on a piece of sterling. The piece is a pin back brooch in the form of Crusader or Kingdom of Jerusalem cross. It is marked on the back with a copyright "C", a 3 prong candle stick with the letters JA at the base, and "STER".

Interested in learning the age origin and maker. Thanx in advance for your time and interest.

That is James Avery's mark. I just visited a showroom of his (his company's) in Austin, Texas about a month ago. Good luck with your research.

Thank you for the lead. Googling them quickly produced access to their large website.
Though My pin is discontinued the company looks like it is going strong.
A candidate for inclusion in the Americal Makers index.
Thank you again for your quick and accurate identification.
