ID Birmingham maker's mark H&S

I have a ring with marks indicating it is made in Birmingham in 1897 with a maker's mark of H&S. Who was H&S? Thanks!

Testing my memory banks...I believe the makers are Hodder and Staughton, but don't take my word for it....long time back in my memory
