silver pocket watch Grant Warbleton

Postby Kamorek » Tue Jan 12, 2010 4:54 am

Hello

Few days ago I bought that silver case pocket watch.
On outer watch case have: London town mark, Lion passant used after 1820 and date letter S - 1853 and initials JB
on inner watch case as above but initials are HWC (17497 are serial numer of watch).
Pocket watch was made by watchmaker Henry Grant from Warbleton.
Do you know who made that silver cases?

Hello.

Josiah Barnett entered an incuse JB mark on October 25, 1838 and again on June 14, 1853 in London.
