please help me with identification of this mark: "X" and case maker: "GWE" or "CWE"

I did not found that mark in table of British silver sterling.

Marks are at watch case.

On a watch case would suggest 1897/98 Birmingham... but cannot help with maker. Best wishes, Mike.
