I have found a ring which is 15mm internal size so small no markings on the outside at all but on the inside it says "one.shilling" then if you turn it around it says "fid.def" then a cat with a crown on and what looks like a bird at the side of that then "ind.imp any info on this would be great

My mother owns a simple silver band that was fashioned from a British coin and enough of the details from the coin were left intact that I was able to identify it. Sounds like you have a similar piece.
