Can anyone identify the makers mark on this Victorian bangle please the date mark suggests 1883

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The maker's mark is RJD - Robert James Dick of Hylton Street, Birmingham. I agree with the date: 1883.

R.J.D For Robert James Dick 1883..1884 Jeweller, Hylton Street, Birmingham.

That mark before the Birmingham anchor - what does that represent?

The mark before the anchor is the date letter. This is the i for 1883; it is not immediately obvious as "i" as the dot and the base of the letter have merged together with wear and polishing.
