I need help. What is EPS

Postby Sue Sallee » Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:44 pm

I have two matching silver goblets. On the bottom is "Sheridan EPS". I'm not sure what EPS stands for. Thanks in advance for the answer.

I also have a sugar and creamer with a crest. Inside the crest are the initials "W&B" The crest has a banner on each side that says "Trade Mark". Sitting on top of the crest is a dog. Under the crest are 4 numbers 3621. I need help. Who is the maker and how to I know if this is plated or sterling?

EPS means Electro Plated Silver

Hey Sue,
I am new at this stuff but EPS almost certainly stands for electro-plated silver.

The other I am not sure about, but given the presence of the trademark, and the lack of any sterling designation, I bet that it's plate.

John
