Danish Candlesticks Mystery Mark

Postby StrawIntoGold » Mon Sep 17, 2007 9:02 am

See if my Danish friend can help me again?
I have a lovely pair of candlesticks and I cannot identify the mark. Unfortunately it is inside the cup where the candle sits so try as I might I cannot get a clear image of it. It reads "DENMARK" (Eng Spelling) "487" a very stylized oak leaf (?) and a Crown (try though I may to make it into 3 towers, it is indeed a 3 pronged crown) on top of what looks like a backwards R and a P

Thanks in advance for any help!
Carlie

That mark was set by Hans Jensen & Company, Aarhus, Denmark.
