i contacted a member about this Christofle plate they were very helpful and suggested that it is plated and not solid silver, i was wondering if this is 100% correct? and what date does this plate date from i have show pictures of the marks... thanks

Christofle is a French firm, if the items were silver they would have French hallmarks.
