I have one silver card holder it has a anchor and a lion and a D so i am pressuming it is 1905 from birmingham.. the makers marks are F.H.A&C. I was wondering whther these makers marks matched the date i rposumed it to be.. any help on tht please?

I also have a silver spoon it has an anchor a lion and a r on and i have prosumed it to be from 1890's made in Birmingham the makers marks are S&I i was also wonderin whther these matched.. this spoon is confusing me though because on the front of the spoon it is inscribeed Edinburgh 1892 which matches the date but not the place i have prosumed it to be.. does any one have any help they can offer me thnkyou:)!.. the spoon also has a handle carved into tht of a rose.

I believe F H A & C is the mark of F H Adams & Co, although there should be a small "o" after the "C". My understanding is that this mark was entered in 1920. Before this the company used F H A LD, and after 1937 F H A & H when it entered partnership with Holman.
I would therefore check the hallmarks once again as 1905 appears too early.
S&I is probably Stokes & Ireland, and a date in the 1890s would fit. Much souvenir silver was made in Birmingham and sent where ever, so this is not a problem.
