Toast Rack

Hi i have a toast rack and was wondering if any one can tell me what the markings meanok its made by walker & hall and it has a falg on it with W&H also it has WARRANTED HARD & SILVER SOLDERED 53297 and also a 42. sadly have no photo.
A family member bought it in a box of china at auction. Any info on it would be great. Thanks Maureen

Hello Maureen, Does it have any other marks, such as a letter in a shield?

Under the flag is a kinda sheild with a letter o in it.

An O in a shield does narrow it down to several possible dates. However the spread of those possibilites covers 65 years, so unless you can post a picture I think that an accurate dating is almost impossible.
