Help Needed for pieces with trademark FB Rogers Silver Co.

Postby asvrjcek » Sun May 20, 2007 2:07 pm

I enjoy collecting antiques and have recently purchased a creamer and sugar bowl at a local yard sale. The bottom is marked [b]FB ROGERS SILVER CO -- on the top of that is what appears to be a crown with 18 to the left of it and 83 to the right of it -- on top of that it states TRADEMARK --- below the name FB Rogers Silver Co there is the number 1083. Can someone please tell me what this means and if they know of any place where I can get more info on this company and these pieces.

I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Thank you

The F.B. Rogers Silver Company was founded in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts in 1883.
Moved to Tauton Massachusetts in 1886.
Might still be in business today.

Hello-
They became a part of National silver in 1955, the 1083 is the model number.
