Can you Help identify D & A Nevada Silver?

Postby Sues' » Fri May 18, 2007 6:28 pm

I have an old very small sugar spoon that has these symbols on the back; a Crown, 'looks like' the World Globe , then; Nevada Silver D & A . Could you help me identify this piece. I am not sure if it is silver plate or silver.

Daniel & Arter Globe Nevada Silver Works of Birmingham England. They made vast quantities of low to middle grade flatware under a variety of fanciful names; except for a few plated lines, no actual silver was involved.

Nevada Silver was just one of the many names used for an alloy of copper, nickle and zinc.
