HELP WITH MARKING ID

Postby purrrrr » Wed Apr 04, 2007 2:52 pm

Hello!

I have a silverplated tea/coffee service which was passed on to me from my mother. It originally belonged to my grandmother's aunt.

I am trying to research or find out a bit about the maker and age of the set but have not had any luck ID~ing the mark.

The mark is as follows:

C.S. W. Co. (which creates the top half of a circular shape), along with the word Imperial (which creates the lower half of the circle.
Below this is QUADRUPLE PLATE and below that are the numbers 3 6 9.

Also, perpendicular to the hallmark, are etched the numbers 4263.

I would be most grateful for any information anyone can give!

Thanks ~

Sandy

Can't find any information on your C.S. W. Co. over Imperial mark.

Probably an American company.
The term quadruple plate was not used often after 1910-1912.

Pat.
