Hello,
I recently inherited a silver-plate goblet with a phrase in German and a mark that I've been unable to match to a maker. It has a military theme, a target and crossed rifle and flag superimposed on an eagle, with the phrase "Your eye and hand for the Fatherland" (Ur Aug und Hand Furs Vaterland) and a mark on the base of a printed capital "S" in a bell with a clapper. It measures approximately 5.5"/14cm tall.
I've managed to find mention of German military "honor goblets," but I cannot find photographs to provide guidance on when/where this goblet originated, if it is one!
ANY suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,
Josh
