Gravy bowl

Postby SEEKERrrr » Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:53 pm

I have a 12x6 gravy bowl that reads REED & BARTON ,5001,Mayflower with no other marks. Its very heavy and appears to be sterling. Thanx for the help.

If your Reed & Barton bowl is not stamped sterling or .925, then it's silverplated. On their sterling pieces they also used their eagle/R/lion mark. Mayflower is the name of the pattern. Don't know when they introduced it.

Pat.
