Need help identifying

Post by ESquared »

Hi,

Need help identifying these markings. It is a silver perfume flask I am not sure how to insert an image but there is a circle with a number 92, a Sheffield Tudor Rose, a circle with a triangle int it with the letters PC. it says Made in England

Any advise appreciated, or instructions as to how to put insert a photo.
Thanks
Ellen

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The following should help you to post your images:

How to Add Images

Posting Requirements

https://postimages.org is recommended (click 'Share', then copy and paste the 'Hotlink for forums' code to embed your images). Do not use Photobucket or Dropbox.

Please embed your images rather than posting links and remember to use the 'Preview' button before submitting your post. If your images don't show up there we won't be able to see them either.

For a quick summary see:

I suspect, judging from your description of the marks, that your perfume flask will turn out to be pewter.

Hi Ellen,

Welcome to the Forum.

These are pewter marks.

The second mark indicates the percentage of tin (92/100). The third marks is that of the Association of British Pewter Craftsmen, it has been in use since 1970.

A sharper image of the first mark may reveal the maker.

I see it now, the maker is Troika.
