Just wondering if anyone could help me with these? It's a set of Fish Knife and Fork in it's original leather box. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify or work out anything about them. The only two marks I can find is on the fork prong and knife blade which is too small to photograph (I'll wait until Dad gets home, he's the camera wizz). The marks appear to be V (verticle line) L in a square cartouche. I've attached photographs of the box, the label and the servers and will attempt to get a better photograph later. Thanks, Edward

Just hit me, doesn't square cartouche = silver plate makers mark? I think I trawled through the French Hallmarks section and remembered this; don't I feel like an idiot. Still anymore information would be absolutely wonderful!

Hello, sounds like the plate mark of V. Leneuf from Paris. Probably early 20ieth century, if not younger. Madrassy would be the retailer. Best wishes, Bahner
