Unknown marks - silver?

I came across these spoons with unknown marks. Probably not silver? What do you think?

Definitely plated and almost certainly British - although I don't recognise the manufacturer's initials, AA. The letters under the crown are probably EP although they could be BP - electroplated or Britannia plate. The crown dates them to before the mid-1890s when use of the crown on electroplate became illegal.
