Hello,
Apologies if this question has been asked elsewhere! I recently bought a little clam shaped dish from a thrift store which I believe is silver plate. I cannot for the life of me find the maker S&B except Shepherd&Boyd from New York which I just don't think is right. I'd love any incite that you might have as to the maker and possible age.
Any help much appreciated! Thanks in advance (I hope the photo uploads properly!).

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Your S&B mark appears to be in a shield. A similar mark in a shield has been identified on another site as that of Slack & Barlow of Sheffield.

Hi Silvermarkersmarks,
Thanks! Ah yes, the shield does look similar! Gosh if it is, they certainly have a variety of marks on their products.
