reading 101?

I am trying to figure out how to do that. I have tried two ways so far, I just seem to be missing something. I will try and figure it out

At the top is a castle and below that the letters E P M. EP stands for electroplate[d] and the whole abbreviation is probably for electroplated metal. The castle and this form of lettering show that the manufacturer is Corbell & Co of Scottsdale, Arizona.

I am going to guess that the letters LPA underneath the marks, may say something of what the metal is? The dish itself is over 50 years old, which has left anything after the LPA, pretty much unreadable. Lastly, to narrow things down, does anyone know for sure what the castle is telling us? Perhaps the name of the maker. Thanks for the help so far, I appreciate it.

i found a different way of magnification, although I can not photograph it clearly. But if you look right under the EPM if that is the right letters, you can see the rest faintly. The E.P.A are all clear, and the y is very clear, the other five letters are not. Perhaps it states the metal used? Perhaps something about the maker?

silvermakersmarks: yes I read your reply. I am trying to take it further and find out which company produced it and when. From research I have done, it is silver, yet the color is not. Just trying to find out all I can, from people like you, because you know of what you speak.

It looks like it could be a retailer's name. I gave you the manufacturer's name and the composition - electroplated, not silver.
