This is my first post on this site and would be grateful for any assistance dating this spoon hallmark.

The spoon measure 9 inches from handle to bowl and has the following marks running from the handle to the bowl

WP with underscore in a crown
EP inside a shield
Fleur De Lille inside a circle
Then what looks like 2 crowns back to back inside a circle
Lastly a Capital "A" inside a diamond

On the handle face is what seems to be a Gothic letter D (possibly a suppliers or owners logo?)

Can anybody explain the marks please?

The WP in the crown mark was used up to 1896. In 1897 they started using a WP in a diamond mark.
``EP`` stands for electro-plated.

Thanks for the reply. I just wondered whether the other plate marks meant something, maybe narrowing down a month or something like that. Once again, thanks for the reply

As far as I can tell there was no dating letter codes similar to British silver.
Many marks seen on silver-plate were fantasy marks intended to resemble silver marks.
In this particular case I think all issues have been resolved.
