Silver plate fish knife and fork Maker E & Co with an H inside a diamond shape date mark on the knife and a D in an octagonal shape on the fork.The fork is beautifylly engraved with fishes, leaves and other patterns

Thank you for your help.In the silver plate knife and fork set, one date mark a D in an octagon on the fork,appears to be 1866 but the other,the knife has an H in a diamond on it and the diamond shaped date marks start later in the alphabet. They appear to be a matching set but the date marks indicate different dates. Any advice much appreciated.

Wish I could help you on the H in a diamond mark, but I can't find a record of it either. Maybe someone else will come along with more information.
