Help I need an identity

Postby mrsspud » Thu Jun 29, 2006 11:52 pm

I am a mid size silver serving dish and I can't find myself. I have some strange marks on my underside lip. They are a horse head, a C, and a Swan all 3 in a row then underneath it says EPC and under that 3157. My owner does not know if I am American or from somewhere else since I was orphaned at an auction by people who no longer loved me. My new owner tried to take pictures but it shows her reflection to bad and she does not want to scare anyone. Any help will be greatful.

Thank you
A beautiful piece of Silver

That might be a mark used by the Crescent Silverware Mfg. Company, Port Jervis, New York. Founded in 1922. Took over the Knickerbocker Silver Company in 1962. Sold to Samuel Kirk & Son in 1977. EPC means Electroplate on copper.
