This spoon should be made of silver but what is the origin of it? Are the maker marks familiar to you?

Hi Sebastian,

See Wiskemann at: http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_W3.html

Please remember to keep your images to within the 7" (18cm) guidelines.

Trev.

Thank you Trev. The Wiskeman mark is on the silverplate marks section on the link you provided me. Doesn't the mark 12 mean silver purity 12 (drams)?

I think in this case the '12' relates to the amount of silver deposited.

Thank you Trev, you were right. The seller checked them with some chemical substance and it turned out to be silver plated.

Once again thank you!
