Mystery Hallmark

Postby mastersinart » Wed Aug 21, 2013 6:29 pm

This one has me stumped.
The first letter looks like "A", but it is a partial strike.
The rest is "C & Co" CROWN EAGLE (in shield)

Thanks in advance!

Hi welcome to the forum.

Electroplated see Electroplating:

A.T & Co in Gothic letters, the mark of an unknown silverplate manufacturer.
Around 1897 the use of a crown in a cartouche on British silver-plate was banned.
