Can anybody identify definitively this silvermark? It's on a long silver spoon.

Looks to me like the mark of William A Rogers of New York - a large siverplate producer in the latter 19th century.

Actually, I'm pretty certain this is the mark of one of the various Rogers silverplate companies - but hopefully someone can confirm which one! There were several - some related, some not!

I believe that Neruda is correct. This is one of many marks used by Wm. A. Rogers, Ltd. located in New York. They became part of Oneida Silversmiths in 1929.

Do you have an ISBN and a publisher for the book? Maybe I can find it in the local library?
