Mystery mark

Postby Morg » Tue Mar 06, 2012 7:38 pm

Hello again,
I'm trying to find out from what manufacturer is this mark, and its date. I'm lost. The mark itself is almost unreadable (is this how its spelled?) and i can see 3 letters, top left a 'V' (i think), and then in the bottom 'D F'
Can you help me? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Morg,

Welcome to the Forum.

That's likely to be a French silver plater's mark. The 'V' may possibly indicate a widow (veuve).
