Cailar Bayard

Postby Hoda Zaki » Mon Dec 12, 2005 10:21 am

Hi

I have another question about Cailar Bayard, the name is on six tea cups and plates. they are silver plated and have beautiful engravings. I read a lot and got the following information that this silversmith is French and Christofle took it over. Can any body confirm and give more info. The writting is CailarBayard and C (drawing of a flower) B.

Thanks

Hoda

Cailar Bayard & Company
workshop at Grange-aux-Belles (rue) in Paris
his symbol was assigned on April 12, 1912
There is no listing for when (if ?) his symbol was withdrawn (deleted).
The "flower" on his trademark is actually "un soleil" = a sun.

Nice cup and saucer.

Edited for a typo. :)

Thanks a lot, but can you tell me if Cristofle did buy the CB company?
