Long Sugar Tongs

Postby bobsilverfox77 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 3:38 pm

Attractive tongs that weigh 44g and are 15cm long with a good spring. The hallmark has defeated me. One speculation at the local market was "Victorian Sheffield Plate". Please help with identification.
Many thanks.

The marks look a little similar to William Page's marks, but I could be wrong.

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the Forum.

User701 is not wrong, that is one of the marks used by William Page & Co. of Birmingham.

Your tongs would be Electro Plated rather than Sheffield Plate.

Trev.
