From what I can tell if there are makers marks, it is going to be pictorial. I haven't been able to match anything so far so I was hoping something could look familiar to someone. They're adorable pieces and I would think the handle shaped as it is would signify a time period yet I don't have the exposure to support that!

It is probably a communion set, the v for vinum, the a for aqua or wine & water in latin. If that is the case, origins could then be from anywhere. However, the set could also be Italian, Spanish or Portuguese, the initials working for wine and water in each of these languages. Without seeing the marks there is no hope of figuring out the time or place of origin.

What does "if there are makers marks" signify - are there marks or no marks?

Thank you for taking the time to look over that piece. When I said if there are makers mark, I meant I couldn't recognize them if they were there. There isn't any pictures like what is on the site, however, there is a similar picture of the "totem" man that is on the lid. I don't recall which country used that symbol but it didn't match exactly so I didn't reference it. It doesn't feel heavy enough for pewter and when I ting it with my fingernail it has more of a tin sound than a silver sound. It is the history that I am interested in, knowing maybe where it could of traveled to end up today where it is. Thanks again for your time and for anyone else who takes the time to look.
