Silver or plate? Don't know maker/mark. Mark is a crown and then four small boxes to the right of the crown with markings in them.
The crown has four distinct sections. Each section of the crown is designated with small dots. Two of the sections show a distint oval as if for a jewel.
There are four small boxes to the right of the crown - - first box has either a serpent or fat s, second and third box has a fancy mark/letter that might be a C or G, fourth box has some sort of symbol I think.
This is a very heavy piece @ 7 lbs. Ornate, footed and handled deep serving rectangular tray/dish.
