I recently acquired a dish I believe to be silverplated. It has the following engraving on the bottom lip of the dish: guaranteed L. B. Smith Co. Boston and then to the right of that it has a German cross, a crown, and a shield followed by the number 1309. I am new to collecting and just wonder if anyone can date it for me. All I could find was Lawrence B. Smith Co. founded in 1887. Thanks for any info.
