hi could somone help me again with this makers name on this watch chain please i have tried everywhere but cannot find this persons name ,i have worked out all the rest of the makings as birmingham 1898 ...sorry but my picture is not the greatest but the makers mark is J S FOLLOWED BY A STAR ????

Hello Shepshop,
A Liverpool watchmaker by the name of Joseph Sewill registered a rectangular mark with his initials followed by a star at the Chester office around 1886. Although not a Birmingham mark this might be your man.
