It is silverplated. The mark FDG inside the thorch is
Fællesrepræsentationen for Danmarks Guldsmede "Fakkelmærket"
Joint representation of Danish Gold smiths. From 1929 and onwards.
We have been debating whether it is CC in the crown (letters) or if it is part of the ornamentation.
Seing your mark I am sure that it is CC - and we could guess that it is Carl M. Cohr a danish factory producing silver and silverplated items. Both of great handicraft and lower quality flat ware.
But I am not sure that the crown mark is Carl M Cohr. Could be someone else. Cant recall what our conclusion was. Also due to the cact that the crown mark is not in the list of Cohr marks that I have and that their silverplate was marked ATLA.
That it is danish silverplate is however sure without any doubht.
