Large ornate tray mystery!!!

Postby Mikey6507 » Sun Oct 09, 2005 9:47 am

Hi.
Could anyone help me to identify the following.

Looks like old style capital letters E P on C (not 100% sure on this) with the only other marks being a doorway surrounded by an arch including a portcullis without spikes over the door inside the arch.
It does say Made in England on the back.
Very heavy and about 30" x 18".

The EPC stands for Electroplated Copper, which indicates the piece is silver plated over copper. I do not know the maker's mark by description, but if you are able to send a photo that might help.
