Postby polpower » Tue Apr 08, 2008 4:23 am

Hello i found this spoon in the woods near the place overloon in holland.
i found also other cook stuf and some ammunition from a browning.50
it seams that a tank eskadron( 2e Eskadron van de Coldstream Guards) and the 1e bataljon South Lancashire wend here for 2 days.
can some one tell me where this spoon come from. and who the maker is?

it says "metal blanc" i.e. "white metal" so it does not appear to be silver. however, if you could adjust your picture - crop out just the marks and sharpen the image - there might be more discernible information.

Looks like a French silverplate mark to me.

Pat.
