Tane. 925 and other marks on deco Ashtray set

Postby silversonic » Fri Nov 02, 2007 4:08 pm

n art deco looking, 6 cocktail ashtray set on a central pole.
The marks contain the small "Tane" impressed mark, AECHO (possibly H not A), 925 and I.M.P
Any ideas as to what the "AECHO" and I.M.P marks stand for?

Thanks in advance.

Tane, founded in the mid 1950's, manufactures and sells high quality jewelry and holloware in Mexico City.
Most pieces marked Tane also have the mark of the silversmith who produced the item.
Hecho means "Made" and I believe IMP is the silversmith"s mark.
Sorry, don't know who IMP is. Tane is a large firm and many different silversmiths produced items for them.

Pat.
