I cannot identify the maker mark on this, it says:

MC-02
sterling
925

A large pic of the item would be quite helpful indeed, but just by the general overall "feel" of the hallmark I would say that it is from Mexico and the "MC" refers to Mexico City. The Mexican hallmarks used numbers following a pair of letters, such as TS-25 and examples such as that.

Again, a larger pic of the item is required. But I have seen many hallmarks from Mexico and this is consistent with other examples in my experience.

Here's one...MC163 over MEX925 on Acapulco souvenir spoon with stone man top (South of the Border Tiki guy).
