Native American peyote bird mark . . . ?

Post by cosmetal »

Hello all . . .

Does anyone recognize this mark? It has shown up on a number of Native American sterling silver jewelry pieces I considered buying.

Thanks for any input!

Hallmark

The hallmark in question is "Waterbird" or better known as the "Peyote Bird".
As to the owner...I have only been able to find a few refrences to "Tommy Singer" or his Brother-in Law" "Larry Dodge.

I have seen a lot of Native American jewelry on eBay recently with this hallmark and the style is certainly that of Tommy Singer especially the Coral/Turquoise inlay.

In any event I would say the artist has great talent and a lot of effort and thought went into creating this maker's mark.

I can't see the photo anymore but if it is chip inlay it is more than likely the work of Gibson Gene
