Ultimate Challenge---No Marks!

Postby dognose » Thu Aug 02, 2007 2:15 pm

Hi,
I know this is a long shot but I'm searching for a country or area of origin for these two tablespoons. They are 8 1/4" long but very light, less than an ounce each, maybe some one recognises this style of engraving or the unusually short rat tail drop.
They have no marks and I would think date around 1800.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Hose-dk,
Many thanks for replying, I've posted a better photograph of the pattern, any thoughts?
Regards Trev.

Don't have a clue, but the proportions and drop are quite unusual, gotta be distinctive to a particular place.
