The buyer of this piece was told it was from Spain during the inquisition

Hi,
The image with your marks embedded.
1.These are not Spanish marks, most probably not European marks either.
2.The claim in regard of Spanish Inquisition period; it`s beyond understanding people still believe in miracles.
The image of the whole item would be appreciated, but what can be seen here is enough to date it late 20th century.

On the web, there is a teapot made by Yossi Swed that is called a "Hidden Synagogue" This piece is similar in the fact that as you take it apart, it has different Jewish ritual items inside. Candlestick, menorah, Megilaah Esther, etc. Here are three pictures of the outside (which serves as the candlestick).
