Could you please help me with the maker mark of this plate? And what is the St. George mark? I cant read the city letter unfortunately.

Have seen those marks on faked silver, but the cobination of Austria-Hungary 1826 and Moscow StGeorge is extremely unusual and absurd.
Both marks do not look right,by the way.
What is it ? The object, I mean.

Very interesting case.
Austria - Hungary marks compared - yours is partially struck.In the middle number 13 is expected (fineness expressed as 13 Loth).



I have never seen StGeorge,very similar to Moscow assay office,on Austrian silver.On the other hand, there are examples of ``Russified`` silver,i.e.faked Russian marks added to already existing silver in order to increase the value.But this StGeorge mark is done with extremely well done and detailed punch, never seen in faked marks.
The style of the plate is typical Vienna Biedermeier rose silver (Wiener Biedermeier Rosensilber).
In a word,StGeorge is a mystery to me.

What do you think about the craftsmanship of the plate, looks authentic? Was that pattern used in early Biedermeier? Is it possible, that St. George is not Moscow but other city or any other special mark?

Typical decor for Vienna 1826 (embossed or cast roses;thus Wiener Rosensilber name).
StGeorge is a mystery;never seen it on Austria-Hungary silver.

After some time I have found next St. George mark on Austria-Hungarian silver plate, Budapest for this time. Would anyone know what the marking of imported silver was like in Russia at that time? The second St. George case strikes me as a strange coincidence.
